Community Events

Small events. Big community spirit.

With Baij, our new Events Coordinator on board, FOCRG is excited to grow our programme of small community events and activities that bring local people together and make the Recreation Grounds an even more enjoyable place to spend time.

From family activities to community projects, our events encourage people outdoors, create memories and help people connect with nature and each other.

Some of our past events have included:

🐾 Community dog show

🌿 Nature-based activities
🎪 Community pop-ups and seasonal events

And we have lots more ideas for the future, including:

We’d love to do more.

Even helping at just one event each year can make a real difference and help us create more opportunities for local families and children.

The biggest thing limiting what we can offer isn’t ideas — it’s volunteers.

Whether you enjoy organising, helping behind the scenes, setting up, welcoming families or supporting simple activities on the day, there’s a place for you.
