DofE Update
You never know what you’ll find during a volunteer session… this weekend it was an old-school typewriter!
Saturday: A big thank you to the Saturday DofE team, including our newest volunteer Zian, who tackled more snowberry and cherry laurel clearing at Walden Rec! They also found some interesting litter, including a very old manual typewriter buried deep in the undergrowth. The younger team members were a bit puzzled at first, but Nicola was there to explain how this mysterious machine worked . Thanks for all your hard work!
Sunday: Another productive day with our Sunday litter pickers! Gary, Nicola, Ali Jay, DofE Theo, and Habiba spent the day litter picking at the Recreation Ground, Library Car Park, and Age Concern. Special congratulations to Theo for completing his 12 hours—amazing effort, Theo, well done!
