Antisocial behaviour

The Friends Group wants to encourage people of all ages to use and enjoy the park, but clearly anti-social behaviour is not acceptable.   We have engaged with both the Police and Ward Security, who are being very supportive and putting various initiatives in place to stamp out these problems.  To help them tackle this, please follow their advice as follows:

  • It is important to report problems, however minor in nature, to the police
  • Care should be taken in approaching individuals directly (that's not to say don't do it, but consider the circumstances before intervening directly).
  • If people are committing crime, or you feel threatened in any way dial 999.  Otherwise call 101 for a non-emergency.
  • You may also wish to call Ward Security on 0845 847 6180
  • Please also copy in Dale Malcolm (Friends' rep on the Ward Panel) - dsm24apr@aol.com
As always the Friends Committee will continue to monitor the park and liaise with the police but your support in this will be invaluable.
